What is rosacea?

Rosacea is a common chronic skin condition that primarily affects the face. Rosacea can cause raised bumps or redness on the cheeks, nose, chin, or forehead. It can also affect the eyes. Rosacea is a long-term condition that can get worse over time. It happens most often in adults ages 30 to 60. It is characterized by facial swelling, and a rounded nose that might also look red, pink, or more of a violet, purple, or a dusky brown hue depending on your skin tone.
