What is Head Lice?

Head lice are tiny grayish-white insects that infest the hair and scalp, causing itchiness and discomfort. Head lice lay 7 to 10 eggs per day called nits that are tiny yellow, tan, or brown dots near the scalp. Nits can look like dandruff but do not brush off easily.
